Dr. Anurita Kapur, M.D. as a donation, sponsored and participated in a religious program "Mata ki Chowki" at a Hindu Temple. Anurita explains about Goddess Durga: This was an overnight 12 hours long pooja with jaagran & kirtan for Jai Devi Durga Mata. Goddess Durga; Sanskrit: (दुर्गा), meaning "the inaccessible" or "the invincible"; durga) is the most popular incarnation of Devi and one of the main forms of the Goddess Shakti in the Hindu pantheon. Durga is the original manifested form of Mother Adi-Parashakti. She is Adi- Parashakti herself. The Devi Gita declares her to be the greatest Goddess. Thus, She is considered the supreme Goddess and primary deity in Shaktism, occupying a place similar to Lord Krishna in Vaishnavism. According to Skanda Purana, Goddess Parvati accounted the name 'Durga' after she killed the demon Durgamaasura. Goddess Parvati is considered to be the complete incarnation of Adi Parashakti or Goddess Durga, with all other Goddesses being her incarnations or manifestations. Whatever deity one is worshiping, ultimately, they are worshiping her. Adi Parashakti or Mahadevi, the Supreme power, is called Durga Shakti as per Devi-Mahatmya. Adi parashakti or Devi Durga is a Hindu concept of the Ultimate Shakti or Mahashakti, the ultimate power inherent in all Creation. According to Markandeya Purana she is Goddess Lakshmi and Goddess Saraswati in her mild form; Goddess Kali and Goddess Chandi in her wrathful form. Adi parashakti or Devi Durga is a Hindu concept of the Ultimate Shakti or Mahashakti, the ultimate power inherent in all Creation. This is especially prevalent in the Shakta denomination within Hinduism, which worships the Goddess Devi in all Her manifestations. Goddess Durga Mata's Mantra: "Om Shri Durgaya Namah", in Sanskrit: ॐ दुं दुर्गायै नमः (Flowers & falling petals with full presentation & explanation of Goddes Durga designed at the instructions of Anurita for the respect & worship to Goddess Durga Mata.) |
Dr. Anurita Kapur, M.D. as a donation sponsored & participated in a religious program "Maha Shiv Ratri Pujan" at a Hindu Temple. (Dr. Kapur is sitting at front on the floor in white). Anurita explains about Lord Shiv & puja: This is also 12 hours long overnight pooja reciting the holy mantras for Jai Jai Shiv Shankar Mahadev. Lord Shiv ji's murti was sculptured in ice. Lord Shiva meaning "The Auspicious One"), in Sanskrit: शिव, also known as Mahadeva ("Great God"), is a popular Hindu deity and is considered to be the Supreme God within Shaivism, one of the three most influential denominations in Hinduism. Shiva is regarded as one of the primary forms of God, such as one of the five primary forms of God in the Smarta tradition, and "the Destroyer" or "the Transformer" among the Trimurti, the Hindu Trinity of the primary aspects of the divine. Shiva is also regarded as the patron god of yoga and arts. The other popular names associated with Shiva are Mahadev, Mahesh, Maheshwar, Shankar, Shambhu, Rudra, Har, Trilochan, Devendra (meaning Chief of the gods) and Trilokinath (meaning Lord of the three realms). He is the oldest worshipped Lord of India. Shiva is often shown garlanded with a snake. His wearing of serpents on the neck denotes wisdom and eternity. Shiva's body is said to consist of five mantras, called the pañcabrahmans. As forms of God, each of these have their own names and distinct iconography: Sadyojāta, Vāmadeva, Aghora, Tatpuruṣha and Īsāna. Shiva is usually worshiped in the aniconic form of Lingam. Shiva of the highest level is limitless, transcendent, unchanging and formless. However, Shiva also has many benevolent and fearsome forms. In benevolent aspects, he is depicted as an omniscient Yogi who lives an ascetic life on Mount Kailash, as well as a householder with wife Goddess Parvati and His two children, Ganesha and Kartikeya, or as the Cosmic Dancer. In fierce aspects, he is often depicted slaying demons. The most recognizable iconographical attributes of the God is a third eye on his forehead, a snake around his neck, the crescent moon adorning and the river Ganga flowing from his matted hair, the trishula as his weapon and the damaru as his instrument. Lord Shiva's Mantra is: "Om Namah Shivaye", in Sanskrit: ॐ नम: शिवाय: The Most Powerful Mantra of the Universe this mantra is was recited all throughout the puja (prayer). In Sikhism, the Japuji Sahib of the Guru Granth Sahib says, "The Guru is Shiva, the Guru is Vishnu and Brahma; the Guru is Parvati and Laxmi." In the same chapter, it also says, "Shiva speaks, the Siddhas speak." In Dasam Granth, Guru Gobind Singh have mentioned two avtars of Rudra: Dattatreya Avtar and Parasnath Avtar. (Flowers & falling petals with full presentation & explanation of Mahadev Lord Shiva designed at the instructions of Anurita for the respect & worship to Lord Shiva.) |

Chand Nizami, Sufiana Qawali Singer, Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya Ke Darbar ke Sarkari Qawal 'Nizami Bandhu Group' & Dr. Anurita Kapur, M.D. was the Master of Ceremony at their Qawali Event in New York. Nizami Bandhu is an Indian Qawwali musical group consisting of Chand Nizami, Shadab Faridi Nizami, and Sohrab Faridi Nizami. They perform at Sufi and folk music festivals The Nizami Brothers belong to a family privileged to have been the descendants of court singers of Sufi-saint Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya for several centuries. They perform all over the world and cultural events. In 2011, they appeared in the song "Kun Faya kun" in film Rockstar (2011), performing at the Nizamuddin Dargah, along with actor Ranbir Kapoor. Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya Sultan-ul-Mashaikh, Mehboob-e-Ilahi, Hazrat Shaikh Khwaja Syed Muhammad Nizamuddin Auliya (1238 – 3 April 1325), also known as Hazrat Nizamuddin, was a famous Sufi saint of the Chishti Order in the Indian Subcontinent, an order that believed in drawing close to God through renunciation of the world and service to humanity. He is one of the great saints of the Chishti order in India. His predecessors were Fariduddin Ganjshakar, Bakhtiyar Kaki and Moinuddin Chishti. In that sequence, they constitute the initial spiritual chain or silsila of the Chisti order, widely prevalent in the Indian subcontinent. Nizamuddin Auliya, like his predecessors, stressed love as a means of realising God. For him his love of God implied a love of humanity. His vision of the world was marked by a highly evolved sense of secularity and kindness. It is claimed by the 14th century historiographer Ziauddin Barani that his influence on the Muslims of Delhi was such that a paradigm shift was effected in their outlook towards worldly matters. Many of his disciples achieved spiritual height, including Shaikh Nasiruddin Muhammad Chirag-e-Delhi, and Amir Khusro, noted scholar/musician, and the royal poet of the Delhi Sultanate. Nasiruddin Chiragh Dehlavi - He was the spiritual successor of Nizamuddin Auliya. He is considered fifth amongst the big five of the Chisti order in India (the others being Moinuddin Chishti, Qutbuddin Bakhtiar Kaki, Fariduddin Ganjshakar, Nizamuddin Auliya). His shrine is in Chirag Dilli, New Delhi, India. Amīr Khusro - He was the most loved disciple of his master. He was so close to his master that once Nizāmuddīn Auliyā' said, that whoever comes to visit his grave must visit the grave of Amīr Khusro first and then his. Dr. Anurita Kapur, M.D. donated 'Radhe-Krishna' murti for the 'Murti Sthapna' at a Hindu Temple. Anurita sang some religious bhajans for Lord Krishna. Anurita explains about Lord Krishna: Lord Krishna (Sanskrit: कृष्ण is the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu in Hinduism. The name Krishna appears as the 57th and 550th name of Lord Vishnu in Vishnu Sahasranama of the Mahabharata, and is also listed in the 24 Keshava Namas of Lord Vishnu which are recited and praised at the beginning of all Vedic pujas. A puja is the ritualistic worship offered in Hinduism. According to the Bhagavata Purana, which is a sattvic purana, Lord Krishna is termed as Svayam Bhagavan since he was the purna-avatara or full incarnation of the Supreme God Vishnu. Lord Krishna is often described and portrayed as an infant or young boy playing a flute as in the Bhagavata Purana, or as a youthful prince giving direction and guidance as in the Bhagavad Gita. The stories of Krishna appear across a broad spectrum of Hindu philosophical and theological traditions. They portray him in various perspectives: a God-child, a prankster, a model lover, a divine hero and the supreme being. The principal scriptures discussing Krishna's story are the Mahabharata, the Harivamsa, the Bhagavata Purana, and the Vishnu Purana. Radha Krishna in Sanskrit: राधा कृष्ण are collectively known within Hinduism as the combination of both the feminine as well as the masculine aspects of God. Krishna is often referred as svayam bhagavan in Gaudiya Vaishnavism theology and Radha is Krishna's supreme beloved. With Krishna, Radha is acknowledged as the Supreme Goddess, for it is said that she controls Krishna with Her love. It is believed that Krishna enchants the world, but Radha "enchants even Him. Therefore She is the supreme goddess of all. Radha Krishna". Lord Krishna Mantra was recited: Harey kṛiṣhṇa harey kṛishṇa kṛishṇa kṛishṇa harey harey harey rāma harey rāma rāma rāma harey harey. In Sanskrit: हरे कृष्ण हरे कृष्ण, कृष्ण कृष्ण हरे हरे ! हरे राम हरे राम, राम राम हरे हरे !! : (Flowers & falling petals with full presentation & explanation of Lord Krishna designed by Anurita's instructions for respect & worship to Lord Krishna and Goddess Radha Rani.) |

Dr. Anurita Kapur, M.D. sponsored another 'Dipavali Program' for Jai Goddess Maha-Lakshmi Mata Pujan at a Hindu Temple. Anurita sang bhajans & performed puja to Maha-Lakshmi with precious metals: gold, platinum, silver and precious gems: the navrattan. Anurita explains about Goddess Maha-Lakshmi: Goddess Maha-Lakshmi (Sanskrit: लक्ष्मी is the Goddess of money and wealth. Lakshmi is the Hindu Goddess of wealth, prosperity (both material and spiritual), fortune, and the embodiment of beauty. She is the wife of Lord Vishnu. Anagha is another name of Lakshmi, which mean 'sinless'. Anagha was devoted to her husband Vishnu and also worshipped him. Also known as Mahalakshmi, she is said to bring good luck and is believed to protect her devotees from all kinds of misery and money-related sorrows. Representations of Lakshmi are also found in Jain monuments. Lakshmi is called Shree or Thirumagal because she is endowed with six auspicious and divine qualities, or Gunas, and also because she is the source of strength even to Vishnu. When Vishnu incarnated on the Earth as the avatars Rama and Krishna, Lakshmi took incarnation as his consort. Sita (Rama's wife), Radha (Krishna's lover), Rukmini and Satyabama are considered forms of Lakshmi. Lakshmi is worshipped daily in Hindu homes and commercial establishments as the goddess of wealth. She is also worshipped as the consort of Vishnu in many temples. The festivals of Diwali and Kojagiri Purnima are celebrated in her honour. She is also the divine qualities of God and the soul. Lakshmi is the embodiment of God's superior spiritual feminine energy, Param Prakriti, which purifies, empowers and uplifts the individual. Hence, she is called the Goddess of Fortune. She is believed to be the mother of the universe. Goddess Maha-Lakshmi’s mantras are: 1. Lakshmi Beej Mantra ॐ ह्रीं श्रीं लक्ष्मीभयो नमः॥ Om Hreem Shreem Lakshmibhayo Namah॥ 2. Mahalakshmi Mantra ॐ श्रीं ह्रीं श्रीं कमले कमलालये प्रसीद प्रसीद ॐ श्रीं ह्रीं श्रीं महालक्ष्मयै नम:॥ Om Shreem Hreem Shreem Kamale Kamalalaye Praseed Praseed Om Shreem Hreem Shreem Mahalakshmaye Namah॥ 3. Lakshmi Gayatri Mantra ॐ श्री महालक्ष्म्यै च विद्महे विष्णु पत्न्यै च धीमहि तन्नो लक्ष्मी प्रचोदयात् ॐ॥ Om Shree Mahalakshmyai Cha Vidmahe Vishnu Patnyai Cha Dheemahi Tanno Lakshmi Prachodayat Om॥ (Flowers & falling petals with full presentation & explanation of Goddess Maha Laxmi designed at the instructionsof Anurita for the respect & worship to Goddess Maha Laxmi.) |
